Building a webinar program that actually influences revenue

I run Prompt’s webinar program end to end, from choosing topics and sourcing speakers through production, promoting, repurposing, and revenue reporting.

Creating a
repeatable process

In some months, we’re running as many as 5 webinars across different teams, so I knew we needed to be as efficient as possible.

Some of this is good old fashioned project management skills: Creating Asana templates to follow the same process each time, reusing what we can from other events, and building timelines that give life time to happen.

But, I also have built a series of Claude skills that help move along the parts of the process that don’t need a high human touch. With that, my focus can be on working with our speakers to create content people will actually get value out of.

Choosing a topic
& speakers

Every topic we do has to answer a question our audience is actually asking. Targeting our content to be the most helpful is how we get higher registrants, and higher revenue.

I build our panels around customers and industry experts before internal voices, because peers who have actually been in the same situation and have successfully gotten out of it are more credible and less sales-y than internal folks hyping our own product.

Results

Webinars ranked as the third-largest marketing channel in multi-touch attribution.

Our top performing event touched 82 deals, and influenced over $250,000 in pipeline.
